Only $70,000?  Did you talk to the seller?  Yes, Allison's are the ultimate. Have priced them over the years - Jay in Avalon, MN sold them - priced a Grand Sport with a carbureted 200 Merc for around $24,000. Reynolds Racing had a nice blue one for $41,000. Marv Jorgenson at Chopper City Sports sold them - could have bought his last Grand Sport before he quit selling them for about $17,000. Randy Pierson was selling a used purple and white Allison SS2000 (bought last year by Jerry S) with a racing Merc for $16,000. I also go on the Allison website to look for Allison's being sold by owners.

This one for $49,000 from Reynolds Racing  http://reynoldsracingmarine.com/13grandsport.htm

But I am ready to pass the racing torch onto younger people like yourself to keep the flame burning bright.
