The hard drive on the server crashed, a new "heavy duty" unit has been ordered.  In the meantime they're having trouble restoring the back-up.........?

I'm not really sure that's possible?  Unless its hosted locally out of some guy's house...nowadays, websites (like ours) are all run on massive server farms with redundant virtual machines and dual path'd SAN storage.  1 hard drive failure shouldn't even be noticed to the end user...the system should automatically decomm the bad drive and use the data from the mirror'd disk and spawn another copy in the background.  (That should take about 30 secs.)

Haven't been there in weeks ...

CGOA's been slow to load and comes up with weird pages at times.
Friday was down for a few hours.
Not sure what's going on ...

Uh, I don't know about this stuff, just passing on what the Admin guy told me.  At any rate it's back up now.
