Mating season ... anyone tried to mate a OMC engine to a Mercruiser drive?  Does anyone know what a Glastron 155 V8 is displacement and block? Must be smaller than a 302 ford or 305 Chevy.

As much as I need another project .. I am considering one. I found a basket case CV-16V8 .... and a Mercruiser 898 engine and drive. I am wondering 'bout converting it from OMC to a Mercruiser drive system.

I heard that SEI makes an adapter for OMC outdrives.

Hotwired:
I would be mainly looking to gain the trim that Mercruiser offered at the time. but a newer generation Volvo Penta engine and drive would be a consideration too.
