Hmmm Not seeing a Best buy on the northwest corner on the map but I'll find it. I could be blind.

Look near the middle at the intersection of 94 and Radio then look slightly towards the upper left of that intersection. One of the roofs looks bright white.

That roof is Best Buy.

If someone from this side of town wants to ride with me let me know. I will be going to the boat show as well.
I think this has become an addiction.

FYI: from MNDOT. Should be OK after 7am Saturday but you never know.....

Weekend lane closures on I-494 start Friday evening
Greetings!

Just a reminder that east and westbound I-494 will be reduced to single lane traffic throughout this weekend as crews continue working on the Xerxes Avenue Bridge.

Eastbound I-494 between France Avenue and Penn Avenue will be reduced to a single lane from 11 p.m. Friday, Feb. 1 through 7 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 2 and again from 11 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 2 through 8 a.m. Sunday, Feb. 3.

Westbound I-494 will be reduced to a single lane between Penn Avenue and France Avenue from 9 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 3 through 5 a.m. Monday, Feb. 4 and again from 10 p.m. Monday, Feb. 4 until 5 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 5.

On Wednesday, Jan. 30, Southtown Drive closed between Wells Fargo property and Cowboy Jack's. Xerxes Avenue also closed between American Blvd and Southtown Drive. Both Southtown Drive and Xerxes Avenue will re-open by 5 a.m. on Monday, Feb 4.

Motorists should follow the detour signs to access local businesses.

Please watch for intermittent full closures of up to 15 minutes on both directions of the freeway between Penn Avenue and France Avenue as crews set bridge beams spanning the roadway. These short-term full closures will occur during the overnight hours Feb. 2 through Feb. 5.

For more information on the project, visit the project website at www.dot.state.mn.us/metro/projects/i494richfield.

Anyone coming from the west or northwest should use crosstown (Hwy 62) west to 35W then south.
If your coming from the south west, stay south on the river until 35W.
This will get you on the east side of the construction.

I won't be doing the carpool anymore. Got other things to take care of before hand breakfast on the way.

Crap. Life's crazy schedule got in the way and I can't make breakfast.  :-[

The schedule clears out after noon though and we're kid free so I was able to convince the wife to go to the boat show with me. Hopefully we can meet some of you there!
