New Guy From New York
« on: September 08, 2012, 02:54:26 PM »
I'm new to this site but not to Glastrons. Back in the '90's I had a '68 Jetflite. What a fun little boat and a headturner at that. Several weeks ago
I bought a 1980 CVX18. What a project boat but still a headturner. I'm looking forward to enjoying Glastron mania with all of you.

OK. Here are some pics. Be forewarned, I said this is a project boat however Barn Find may be a better description.
Does someone have a source for NOS leaves. They would make a nice detail for the restoration.

Welcome
that looks like a great place to start, not much different than either of my current projects.
Lots of great restore threads here for ideas, that's where i got all mine.

It's good to know there are plenty of ideas and expert advice available. Any idea what those front buckets are from?
I have the original swivel bases and would like to use the original style seats. I should start by pulling up the plywood that serves as a floor and see whats underneath. The engine runs and the boat was used in it's present condition untill 2 yrs ago.
