Engine in my 77 CVX-20
« on: October 01, 2019, 01:12:29 PM »
Hey guys, couple things I noticed now that i have the boat home. Lower driver side bell housing mount is gone. Found the casting number also, there is a "C" followed by 8627 3P152336. Obviously i havent pulled the motor yet, so i'll have to get a game plan together. If the motor is rebuildable, is the lower mount repairable? If my post offends anyone because its been asked 100 times already, or its such an obvious inquiry, bare with me.

Looks like original 3 point mount system. Has normal engine side mounts
and rear mount is where the bell housing sits on the pump housing. Has
a 1/2 in. rubber ring on the pump. Some Ford info. for you.

Not sure if it applies to your scenario, but Tim and I have pulled/installed his 460 numerous times this year(long story, 23).  There are only three points of contact, two engine mounts, and one where the bell housing has a circular 2-bolt mount to the pump.
