Title: 1976 CV-23 Jet Orange Flake $5400 OBO
Post by: fireman24mn on September 03, 2014, 09:02:55 PM: As most of you know I bought a 2nd CV-23 and my whole goal was to use it for the summer and then sell it. Well summer is almost over and I thought I would put it up for sale and see if there are any takers. This would free up more cash for my other 23 build. The boat is absolutely turn Key at this point and needs nothing.

Again Boat is in great shape and needs nothing. I bought it in July on an estate auction. The boat had not been in the water in 8-10 years and last licensed in CA in 1997. Boat was stored in a pole barn and always covered. Sense I purchased I have done many repairs and upgrades. To start a complete rebuilt on the Jet pump. New bearings, impeller, gaskets, bowl, Etc. I rewired the whole boat and removed all the bad wiring and splices that have been done over the years. All switches and gauges work as they should. I replaced the bilge pump with and automatic one. Replaced the distributor with a new Chevy style HEI electronic distributor as well as new wires. Gas tank was replaced prior to me and now has a poly 30 gal tank. I lightly sanded and buffed the boat and it is a 7 out of 10 in my opinion. It could be buffed a little more though. It does have some silver showing threw where someone had sanded and buffed to much. It does have some scratches and gouges so don't expect a perfect boat. All the teak was removed sanded, cleaned, re-oiled and re-installed. The interior was replaced before I had purchased it and is in Excellent condition. Floor and stringers are also in great shape. The engine has an Edelbrock intake and also has a large capacity Moroso oil pan. I am not sure if the motor has had work done to it or not. But at some time it had to have been out of the boat to install the oil pan. Just not sure if any other work was done at that time. The entire rack and pinion steering system including helm, and cable was also replaced by me. The boat will come with the trailer under the blue CV 23 in the pics. If it does not sell that's fine I will re-list it in the spring. If someone does buy it and needs storage I have a place in Oceola, WI that is already paid for.
