Not like I need another project here at the house but for the price this may just be worth taking a look at.

Damn this is 6 hours one way from the house. I found a perfect 1984 Johnson 140 and it's in the same area. North Mississippi near the border of Tennessee. I'd sure hate to drive 12 hours round trip to find out it's not worth it. Decisions, decisions.....

I did see a guy in the San Antonio area is selling a blue on blue CVX 16 with the 140 mercruiser for $2950. Looks like a great boat and says he put a good bit of change into it. If it's still available when I go to Austin in March I may check it out. I'd really like to go to the Glastron grave yard outside of Austin that I talked about here before and see if I can drag one out of there for about $500. He has two similar to Mark's gold and white '72 model in San Antonio. The yard has a green and white with the factory vinyl top with the original ('73  '74) V4 on it. The boat looked to be in great shape.

I'll have to get in there and really give it a good evaluation and see if it's worth making an offer on.

My bad. Assumed it was closer to you. Nah a 12 hour ride to look at a $500 dollar boat just don't seem worth it? Not to worry. As Granpappy Jack liked to say, "Another turd'll pop up soon enough ..."
