What is the proper way to change out the tilt trim indicators on the side of the lower unit..."the little round do hickes on the side"  my wires are shot and i dont see a way, other then removing the lower unit to replace them....thanks for your help

Best way is to remove the drive from the gimbal housing, then the do-hickies, then pull the pivot pins on the bell housing and remove that from the assembly with the bellows. That's the easiest way to get to retainer that holds the trim sender wires in where they go through the transom assembly.
