I think for the right person, the motor maybe be usable. If I had the knowledge and time, I would tackle it myself.
Trailer might be fixable?? Needs tires, lights/wiring and pads. Talking with my grandfather, he feels it can be cleaned up.
Because I only had liability on the boat, not much is coming back in my wallet ( sounds like a grand).
So, we are having the talk at home what direction to go. Wife would prefer to use the cash for other things.
But really was an important part of our summers with the kids.
So I may start looking for 17 foot or bigger open bow and play the ask for forgiveness and not permission card.
But my funds are still limited, need to get a better daily driver at some point.
See if my father would sell his older Bayliner, he has only used it once or twice a year.
So, at this point, and dump the crunchy remains of the boat, try to savage motor and trailer. But still on the fence.
Father of 4 doesn't leave much time for anything these days.
