Boy I dunno Red. My neighbor the next street over offered me one a couple years ago for $250. Rigged for Merc, elec jack plate, etc. Rotten to the (balsa) core but gel intact. Tbk if'n I'd had a trailer I'd've loaded up'n hauled it around the corner. Turned a buddy of mine's kid onto it instead.
He recored it'n hung a big Merc on.
edit: If I'm not mistaken the boat ran in excess of 80 mph first time out. Ungrateful lil sob still owes me a ride?

Well, maybe the second fastest boat in Minnesota.
STV on Craigslist: "The video link below is running at 104mph with two people at just under 7000rpm with 32p cleaver. Plenty of room on top of that too. Running light with one person should run about 115-120mph with the 32p merc racing labbed cleaver if you've got the balls and water to do it."

I love those STV's. There's one for sale on the way to my launch. Beautiful boat with a modified 2.5 Merc. GPS shows 98 and the owner states with a different prop and some mild adjustments it will be over 100 with ease.

Yo David my buddy Jeff at Cape Haze Marina has one that'll do 120 on a bad day. That kinda nonsense is way outa this ol boy's league, a man has to know his limitations. But it is still nice to dream?

Interesting configuration on that blown big block. The blower belt is in the rear?
Way too fast for this guy.

the belt is on the front of the motor , its just that the motor is facing backward , its a "V" drive
