I have a link here for some pictures of the re-build
http://www.olered.com/FoxDen.html
It's nowhere near done, but I just wanted to get it safe for the river parade.  After the parade it will probably go to the dry slip until I get the other (paying) projects accomplished, maybe March or April.

Hey Red, wondering why there are the 2 big holes cut in the stern of the boat?  And boy, you've done a ton of work on that one.  Looking forward to the river run pictures!

Thats one of the things I've not seen in any other sea camper, the port side had a small generator and there were two propane bottles in the starboard side. there were panels that covered the big holes, and there is an access door on the inside if them both by the step/platform. Those boxes were made into the hull, above the water line, making it a 26ft boat, but the hull is 24ft, and the title states 24ft. When I pull the motor back out of it, I'm going to extend the hull, move the transom back 2ft, and that will put the motor back under the aft deck, be room for a couple lawn chairs that way. I don't think I'll have to re-position the boat on the trailer when I do that, that little sucker had somewhere about 800 /900 pounds tongue weight as it was, and with the 260 in it now, there is at least 200 pounds up there, I try'd lifting it, could budge it, and there is nothing inside the cabin except the floor.
I have two new 50 gallon poly tanks, ethanol approved, that fit between the stringers, they are 5ft long, but I think I will be using the forward one for a holding tank, that way the gas tank sets right over the axles, then the only weight added to the tongue of the trailer would be whats in the holding tank.

Ok, waiting on the marine switches to come in, and a gauge blank...but, very close to being done with this project.
Looks great Doran. What is that material you used for the panel?

Pull the engine and drive out of this Rinker and put it in my CVX18. It's been sitting like this since Nov of last year so time to get at it. Need to find a trailer for it first so I can move it to where I can actually work on it.
Kip, That should be a pretty straight forward swap right? Whats wrong with that hull?

All I used was some clean 3-ply birch.

The carbon fiber is 3M's top quality stuff.  It has real texture and is thick, sticky stuff!

Ross - Crashed Toys listed it as having hull damage. It was totaled by the insurance company and then auctioned off which is where I got it. I'm pretty sure it went down due to a failed drive shaft bellows which I found when I pulled the drive after I got it home. Honestly I'm not sure I would have bid on it if I had known that but the motor started right up and sounded good so I think it's OK.

So to answer your question, yes the hull is fine. Even the interior isn't that bad. I'm hoping the swap goes smoothly but I've never done this before so I'm not sure what issues I may run into. But I'm certain anything I can't figure out someone in the club can!

That is gonna be quite a show Red !

It WAS quite a show, my number was 19 and there were several behind me, I saw number 24 but there were a couple dropped out, temp droped to freezing by the time the show was over, and yes, I drained the motor when we pulled the boat out of the water.

here's a video my buddy Mike shot after the parade, it's a little long, the second half is better.
I't took this one all night to load, gott a couple more in process.

there were an estimated, by the grand marshal, at least 35,000 spectators.
Believe it or not ?  there were still at probably a hundred cars in line to the event after the fireworks and the parade already started, according to my neighbor that attended, they had to walked 1/2 mile from where they had to park.

I showed my daughter. She said she wants to ride on your boat! She is 10 and thankfully still believes in Santa. I know our time is limited on that one.

got to move the sprint project out, make room for the scimitar project in the shop, then I'll put the sea camper back in front of the shop door, probably be spring before either one of them gets back into the water.

This is what greeted me when I left for work this morning. Before I get any work done on the boat I'll have to get the snow off of it.
SNOW?  Isn't that the wrong form of moisture we want surrounding our beloved Glastrons?

The second picture is titled
"I am so not ready for this view from my office window"

I love snowmobiling but it can wait a little longer.
