we (Shawn and I) are going to test fit motors in the CV16 tonight, Shawn is using a SBC.
i have this chart for locating based on transom angle but was hoping someone with a CV16 that has a factory mercruiser in it could measure their boat. the measurement from the keel to the bottom of the transom assy would be fine.
thanks.

Jason checks in daily .. But could send him a PM.
Or are you looking for CV16V8 measurements ?

BiPolar75ss hasn't been on since 2016

Just remembered I have a Mercruiser book that explains how to install a engine/ drive in a blank hull.
-
I would assume that’s the same information as that picture I posted.
I was just curious where Glastron put them, and I am referring CV16 with a mercruiser 4cyl. It is my belief that the few documented mercruiser V8 CV16’s are either converted or dealer installed.

I don’t really want to know what Adam did, just want to know where Glastron: install the Mercruiser

I’m out of town till Tuesday but can measure it then.

Thanks, it’ll be interesting to know the exact measurement I have looked at some photos, the transom assembly just barely fits on that boat. The top of the inside transom plate is flush with the seam between the top and the bottom when it’s at the correct position according to the MerCruiser installation manual.

These pictures show the transom plate mounted in the location specified by the mercury manual.

It looks like that is as far up as it could go without modifying the inner transom plate. As it is the plate I have had a flange I had to cut off on the port side, none of our boats have anything bolted in that spot, so I’m not sure what it was there for.

CV16SS measures 4” on the bottom and no room to go higher.
-
If you measured to the bottom of the trim manifold then we are in exactly the same place
