Glastron GT150 Bow Light Fixture - Correct Image
« on: March 09, 2020, 12:49:45 PM »
Guys, some of you deserve a few cold beers...! Thanks for all you've done and all that you do here. There is nowhere else that offers the level, the quality, or the quantity of great information than right here.

I decided to post a new topic so the next guy can search and hopefully find - Do one of you have a photo of the "Correct" Bow Light for the 1971 Glastron GT150? I have the one removed, but it has Perko on it, so I'm sure it's not the original. I also have one that I personally removed from a rotted 1971 17' walk-through that I bought the Mercury outboard from, but it's huge . I'd like to have something close to stock while I'm looking.

Thanks in Advance - Gordon

The light in 1971 brochure looks like it has the three "Wings" on it.
First picture is brochure.
Next two pictures are of light on Ed's 1971 CV16

Lights on these two GT's don't seem to have center "Wing" ..

Bow light on Dave's 1971 V153 looks the same as the two GT's.

The one on the left is the one that it's previous owner installed -
The one on the right is the one I removed from the 1971 17' walk-thru and looks like the ones you've shown me. I've got some small pits, but I haven't had much luck with having "pot metal" as these are re-chromed. This may be a good candidate for a liquid chrome application. Thanks for all the efforts and photos - it shows I'm on the right track.

One on left looks like a newer version of light used from 1972 and up.
The older / original versions had a center bar between red & green lenses.
Pictures of 1972 V156 & 1976 CV16 bow light.

Ed has one he would sell for $45 shipped.

From Ed ..
This one is very nice, the camera highlights/exaggerates very fine scratches that aren't really visible to naked eye! This light could be installed without doing much more than putting a good polish on it! Close up pics doesn't do it justice
