81 C-512 Metric railing hardware sadness....
« on: July 02, 2018, 06:25:04 PM »
Life lesson learned, never tie anything to your railing or this could happen.  Was rough water at the airshow on Sunday, had boats tied together but big waves too much.  Anyone have one of these lying around they might like to sell?  I checked my other boats and my 1978 16' carlson, 86 cvx 18 have the same support bracket but riveted on the side and not top.  Looking for same as on my boat if anyone has one to spare.  Let me know if I should post in classifieds instead of this general section?  Thanks in advance, Jim.

Just checked out my 1979 cv16 and it has the same bracket with the rivet on top.  Could borrow for now since 79 may not see water this summer, but would still like to buy one maybe even two to have a spare.

Jeff, thanks for the fast response.  Will check them out, it looks just a little different at the bottom maybe but could, always get two to put on the 79 boat and keep a spare for the metric.  Cant believe all the things Jamestown has, will have to look there first for most things.  Hope you and everyone is enjoying their summer.

I might have one very similar off my wakeboard boat, let me take a picture with some measurements.

Unfortunately the two on my 512 metric need to stay there :-P

Really wish we could make a trip, would be a long one for us.  Looks like you do have a lot of parts and pieces for what looks like carlsons.  I am thinking for now will rob the two off my 79 carlson 16' and put aftermarket ones Jeff showed me the links to on it.  I want to keep the one hole on top for my metric original.  Still thinking about the trip and what I would take out that way for a long trip.  Will definately keep in touch with you guys if something could work.

Let me know what you would want for them, I am guessing they would be same or very similar to the 512.  If they have the rivet on top of the support I am interested.  Thanks, Jim.

It would be  nice not to have to rob the ones off my 79 glastron.  They look the same as mine on my c512.  Let me know what you want for them?  You can message me here or call, 231 883 3599.  Thanks, Jim.
