Honored that you would want to spend your anniversary at Rathbun with some of the group, but I kinda like the idea.  Our 20th was last month, Casino night for us.  Not much boating to be had in March round here.  How many years does this anniversary make Joe?

RATHBUN 2016 UPDATE:

Finally got a chance to talk with Janelle and get reservations set up.    We are in camping spot 29, and slip 16.   Camping spot has 30 or 50 amp service, she wasn't sure since its all new.  Slip is 20 feet, so the CVZ should fit nicely.  Probably need to come up with some form of mooring cover to keep the condensation off.  Dates are July 7, 8, and 9th(Thursday, Friday, and Saturday).    Hoping that I can put the boat in, drop the trailer, then set up camp.   She stated it was somewhat a distance from the campsite to the marina, so maybe have to put bikes in the camper.    This will be our first outing to the new marina, so hoping it will all work out, I'm sure it may very well prove to be a learning experience.   I suppose the state campground is still an option for some, but it would be a huge drive back and forth.  Hope to see a good turnout.   BTW, camping is $25 a night, and the slip is $20 a night.   Not certain about tent areas, but she said they have them.

That is the same map I got, so I am hoping it is correct.  Bout halfway between showers and lake.  Our camper is only 24', so she put me in a smaller, cheaper spot.  Looks to be shaping up nicely.  She even told me they have space for boat trailers.  Personally I have always loved evening into dark cruises, and not having to put out in the dark is a plus.

I'm trying to decide (with the help of the wife) between sleeping in camper, tent, or boat.  That choice will determine whether I have to finish the CV-23 or the GT-150.  I have lots to do before then either way.  I'm running out of time and money.  Does anyone need a Merc 260 and/or Alpha outdrive?

Amber and I will not be making the trip this year. With the garage addition....Oh wait, I have not told anyone on here yet.

Amber and I finally got approved by the city for the garage edition for the shop. we will be adding a 24ft deep by 30ft long edition onto my 12ft x 18ft shop. it will have two bays for cars and plenty of room for boat repair. So our boating time and funds will be limited for this season, but worth it in the long run.

with that said, we hope you all have a good weekend and we will see all of you in august in Minnesota.

I will post some pictures once I have started working on the foundation towards the end of this month.

Brandon/Amber, Glad to hear about the new project facilities, but we'll miss you both at Rathbun.  Hoping to have a meal at the marina restaurant, but Friday lunch is reserved for the rest.  Has become a highlight of the Rathbun run in the past.  Still plenty of room for more Glastron folks.  Hoping the weather is good.  Should be better than early June weather.

Neither Tim or us have any dogs, but I'm all for you bringing yours.  Not sure, but I assume the venue allows pets?  Maybe give Janell a call to confirm.  Looking forward to the meet, having some relax time.  Hanging the boarding ladder this weekend.
