starting to prime the V-179
« on: April 20, 2019, 03:11:41 PM »
did a skim coat yesterday on the boat and then put a primer on today--warmest day so far at 70 degrees--I can still sand it and add more filler later if I want to straighten out some problem areas. Rain and cold tomorrow--but I'm happy to have started

Always good to see progress.  Have you decided on a paint scheme?

That is a great color combo!  I believe the one you pictured is actually in Florida. I read through the rebuild on the classicglastron.com forums years ago.

got the bottom of the hulls small dents cracks and de lams done with marine tex, it was the only day we have had that stayed above 55 degrees for 24 hours. The remainder of the upholstery supplies have come in now. I don't have a lot of room in my garage but I am going to try to work in there...its stopped snowing a few weeks ago but we have 13 days of rain predicted now.
