Stringer/transom rebuild
« on: October 25, 2021, 10:49:58 AM »
Any tips on how to template the motor mounts so I can put it back after I replace all the rot? Or just leave it solid until I put the engine/jet drive back?

Probably a hundred different ways to do that, but this is how we did it.    We cut the stringers and transom out, but left the inside glass tabs that had the holes in it from the mounts     when the new stringers and all were done we drilled out the holes, and used a solid plate on the other side to strengthen the connection

Excellent, thanks! Do you happen to have any transom pictures? That seems very daunting as well.
