Jason, I can tow one if needed.

I have fabric ideas and supplies for the trailers.

I am willing to take a day off to setup before the show starts and/or to work Thurs or Fri if the scedule is light, weekend as well.

Is there a "sign-up sheet" ?  Is this event a go?  If so I can make some time to man the booth on thursday or friday where there might be a lack of volunteers.  I also specialized in event set up in the army.  ;)

I'll try to work on something for a roster this weekend.  Just got done with an extremely busy stretch at work.  As far as the boats go, I don't like being the only one making a decision.

Please help by getting started on promotional stuff...

Honestly, I'm feeling a bit overwhelmed by this project.  I love it, and I can't wait to be a part of the show, but I really don't know where to start.  Jerry Sellner is more of a pro than I am since the TCPBA has been there for 25 years...

Any thoughts?

It's going to be difficult to commit to what boats we want there until we know how big of a space we have.

I would like to see a mix with 2 or 3 'Family Boats' from the 60's & 70's.
I think this would be more appealing to the Glastron people, "Family boating since 1950's"

Looks like we have more then enough boat's available for the show. I think pulling off the volunteers for the show is not going to be a problem either. So all we need are the details from the boat show.

How many boats can we bring?
When can we bring them and pick them up?
Any required responsibilities?
Any costs to club members?

Don't worry to much about promotional things Brian. If we have business cards or a bunch of printed flyers. I think that would be good enough for handouts. The big banner you use at the club meet would be nice to have at the show. Maybe we can order a bunch of T-shirts for the volunteers.

If people want to cover up their trailer with fabric or take their boat off their trailer and put it on a display stand that will be up to the boat owner.

So if you could present those questions above to the boat show that is all we need from you at the moment. If we take to long they will look for someone else to take our spot.

We have a section of floor space that is 20'x40'.  Realisticly we can bring 4-5 boats based upon their length and how we can lay them out in the room.

There is no charge to the club for our space.

The only responsibility that we have is to have someone present at all times when the show is open.

I just got an e-mail from Jennifer today with more info that I haven't been able to unpack yet.  She also invited me and other representatives from the club to come out and take a tour of the space...  That might be helpful.

I just went through the info that she sent...  We are in a prime location in the Lobby of entrance B.  It's going to be a lobby with a ticket booth, so it appears to be a fairly high traffic area.  It's right inside the main entrance on the 3rd Ave street level entrance.

I will be filling out the contracts this weekend and will be meeting with her on Tuesday or Wednesday to go down and see the space.

I'll let you know what time in case anyone wants to join me.

I don't have info yet on setup dates, but I'll get that asap.

Thanks for the encouragment everyone.

What have we decided on the boats to bring?  That orange GT-150 looks like it's already been in the shows and that would be great!  Jesse Gully is very excited about bringing his CVX-20, and Jason's CV-16ss would be great...  There are so many options, it's hard to choose...  I need the group to help with this decision.  I say we need to plan on 4 or 5 boats.

I vote to form a nomination committee of Brain, Jason, Jim Barrett, and Jeff to decide between themselves the boats to be shown and to contact the owners to see if they are willing. Perhaps these same people can work out the details of that needs to be done and contact people they need outside of their group. We had someone knowledgeable about displays and people willing to man the booth. Perhaps an artist to design posters, business cards made to hand out for the MCGOA, and a contribution fund set up for this event.

Maybe just Brian and Jason to make the choose of which boats to bring, but first we need to know who is willing and able to bring there boats.
Maybe just three or four boats sence we don't know how much work it will take to set this all up ...
Should some one start a thread of people/boats willing to display ?

Scott is on the fence right now ???

We have the windshield and deck hardware back but waiting to hear if it's wanted for the show.
The floor is bad under the rear seat but is hidden when seat is in place.
We could finish putting it back together for the show but if it's not wanted we will leave it and start on the floor.

I agree about Scott's boat being in the show. It is probably the bext example of an original condition CVX20 Jet in the club. I would like to give him the option to show his boat. If not I think Jesse's would be great to have at the show.

David, sure would be nice if you could find someway to get the V153 to show!

Gregg's former boat V-156 with the 60 HP Johnson would have been a natural - very popular boat and motor and Gregg stores his in the garage. I would like to show mine, but the logistics are too great to overcome. I can show props and outboards on motor stands. LOL.
