Buffed it out
« on: November 06, 2011, 12:02:24 AM »
got the buffing done,  I'm tired of all the sanding and buffing, I'll get to the polishing later, still got to get the exhaust pipes finished, The picture's don't do the flake justice, it's not perfect, but it looks pretty good if you don't look too close.
I got another project in the shop now I need to get out, so the scimitar lost it's warm and cozy for a few weeks.

Up early this morning... guess it's the time change.  Looks Great Red... hope you weren't personally affected by the earthquake yesterday in central OK.  I've read reports of significant damage in certain areas.

Ya got to find a way to attach something and just let the boat shake and rub itself out. You guys OK?

I'm confused, in the video it looks like there's faded areas that haven't gotten new flake. what's with that?

That's the trees reflecting off the shine.  Every inch of that baby is covered with flake.

We have had two earthquakes in the last two days,  How Odd ?
a 4.7 about 2:00am 60 miles from our place and we slept thru that one, but the one last night was a 5.7 about 44 miles away, that one shook the house and made the dish's in the cabnits rattle, it lasted about 20 or 30 seconds.  I checked the boats, they are good.  I'll look at the house later.

Like the old Polish joke, how many Polish men does it take to buff a boat? Three, one to hold the buffer and two to move the boat back and forth.

A lot of work is right and that is no small boat. Looks awesome though.
Earthquakes....never experienced one and not sure I'd like to. The earth under my feet is something I prefer to be stable.  :o
I think they are calling all those smaller ones aftershocks but seem like earthquakes to me. Now this IS unusual for your area, is it not?

Love your priorities... ;D

I checked the boats, they are good.  I'll look at the house later.

Those priorities sound about right to me... especially when there's new flake involved!

Thanks for the chuckle!
