Dual helm steering Barb. They are supposed to hook on to the motor on the same side. I called the answer guy at Teleflex. He said it wouldn't work any other way, so I'm trying to make it a Push-Pull coming in from both sides. I love doing what everyone says can't be done.

Thanks for the kind words gang, I appreciate them more than you know.  You're welcome Jerry, glad to help with your project any way I can.  (You don't owe me anything, I consider you guys and gals my brothers and sisters!)  I have a strong hunch you'll figure out how to run the cables down opposing sides, maybe a little "creative bracketry" between the helms?  (Spin the back one 180* and bolt her down?)  That steering cable geometry gets me confused, I feel dizzy.....  ::)

I'll make it up to Red Wing one of these years, it's on the top of my "bucket list".   ;D

Did anyone ever take an IQ test where you have to fold boxes in your head? Well I started folding boxes. If the motor never moved it would work fine, but start to trim, or tilt, and the distance between the two sides, and the motor changes. THAT'S why they come in the same side, and use the tilt tube.  I went to my local dealer to see what they had. Well they had 5 kits for V4 and V6 OMC's (Just in case ya need one Doug)  Well I have the sectors and cables, and a 4" hole in the splashwell. I have to fold more boxes. Now I feel dizzy. I tried blasting the mounts. I don't know what they painted them with, I took them to Headwerks and they hot tanked them and tried to blast them. I brought them back home and started grinding. I think they may be gel-coated. Can ya gel-coat metal?

Happy belated b day Mark!
Ya I would think push pull would be good. Not sure of the advantage  of two from one side. Less slop? You obviously can not do a tilt tube set up with this?
