« on: November 12, 2011, 08:43:57 AM »
Got this from a buddy on vacation in AZ.
Pretty COOL !

GREGG

VISITED THE ADVANTAGE BOATS FACTORY IN LAKE HAVASU CITY, AZ.. I  JUST WALKED IN TO SEE WHAT THEY HAD ON THE SHOWROOM FLOOR AND 5 MINUTES LATER THEY WERE TAKING ME ON A TOUR OF THE PRODUCTION LINE. THEY TEST THE BOATS ON LAKE HAVASU AND EVERY WEEKEND YEAR ROUND THERE ARE POKER RUNS ON THE LAKE. WE BROUGHT OUR LAWNCHAIRS  UP ON A CLIFF OVERLOOKING THE COLORADO RIVER ENTERING THE LAKE AND WITNESSED THE ROAR OF

2000 HP GOING 170 MPH. DUDE IT WAS AWESOME!!!

Boat or space ship? At 2000HP they probably feel about the same!

Advantage boats has the right idea of testing their product in the real world. Bet they learn alot from their mistakes as their boats go 170 MPH subject to strains and stresses.

Nice lil' run-about there. There's a couple of big Skater boats on the river I frequent. 1500+ hp sure sounds good as it goes by. That's the only time I enjoy the NO WAKE zones, when they're idling through with you.

There is an Advantage boat club based on lake Minnetonka where you can rent them through a rental package. The cheapest package starts a 1500.00 and that gets you 4 days on the lake. The nice thing is that two buddies can split the bill at 750 each and then it's not so bad if you cosider the cost of owning a 2008 28ft Victory w/ 496HO putting out 425hp. RSI is the new shop I work for located in Shakoppe which is a authorized Advantage boat repair facility. The boat club has 4 boats to choose from and the owner is looking at a 5th and they all get serviced at RSI by me. Very nice boats, mechanic freindly, ride is awsome, they have open bows too.

What's the speed limit on Minnetonka again? At least you look cool!

Lake street sounds purty cool Jerry.  In the old days we had Ohio street in Buffalo. On the shore of Lake Erie. Seen some crazy stuff there but never a funnycar. Well 'least not advertised as such ...

Cops schmops! A lil bribery goes a long way.
