The Flooded Minnesota River
« on: April 03, 2011, 06:20:37 PM »
Joy and I took a Sunday ride to see the flooded Minnesota River. Fort Snelling is closing at the top of the hill. Then took the Auto Club Road in Bloomington that is just North of the River. Pictures of the railroad bridge April of 2011 and from May of 2010, and from the Bloomington Ferry Bridge. Judging from the wooden bridge, the water must be at least 15 feet higher this year. It will be awhile until we boat there.

Wow! David is that the train bridge we were boating by last spring? If it is, that thing was way out of the water from what I remember. Maybe high enough for a barge to go under.

Yes, same bridge Ross. It was the first meet of Glastron outings last year in May of 2010. Walked that bridge over the river many times in the 1960's when I lived nearby.
