The fruits of our labors...
« on: July 01, 2012, 11:39:56 PM »
Enjoying some lake time with the family and the CVZ.  Son learned to wakeboard today and loves it.  Kids are tubing non-stop and the boat is running excellent.  A very good start to the week!

For me, this is the week that pays off for all the hard work on the boat.  Then its on to Red Wing in a month or so!

Are you up in MN, Doran?  The lake is beautiful.  Glad you're having fun on the water.

Doran - Glad to hear the boat is running great for you. When the kids are having a blast as a result that's icing on the cake. You picked a great time to vacation this summer. 90's forecasted all week in the Twin Cities. Enjoy!

We're home.  Great week up North.  A couple showers that quickly cleared.  One issue with the trailer.  (Busted roller mount on the way home...that we noticed...at home.)  But...everything's ok!

Didn't get to test the Six-Gun yet...guess I'll do that at Red Wing.

It sure does!  I still have my gas tank issues...if its more than 1/2 full...no issues, but when its low, the filter clogs up very quickly.

I'm going to have to address that eventually.

Doran, if it is a steel tank you should be able to take it to a radiator shop to have it boiled out to remove all  the rust and debris. Then get an enamel kit to seal the inside. I am thinking about doing that to the one in the starflite this winter.

Tank Renu in Shakopee, or the do-it-yourself kit "Kreem" at any motorcycle shop.

Shakopee's a little bit of a drive from Des Moines, Jerry...but I may end up with the do it yourself stuff if I ever decided to cut the tank out of the floor.

Yep.  That's kind of what I'm thinking as a stop gap measure until the fall.
