Why is this Boat Sitting So Low in the Water?

One reason is that there are five people in the boat, but the main reason the back of the boat sits low is due to the 635 pound 300 HP Mercury on this Allison, more weight than Allison recommends.

That looks about normal for an Allison. They sit low to begin with. I saw five out on the river and the motors ranged from 200 to 250. Five people in a bass boat is a bit excessive.
