I've been consumed planning a party I would be hosting, more or less since last December. Never thought a "picnic" would be so much work, but we did a bunch of stuff around the house that will remain for the summer after the party, such as plants and flowers...you know, women stuff. It took place last week 6-28 to 6-30, with friends coming from Michigan and Colorado. Everything went well and it went by fast. I didnt have a lot of time to enjoy it as it seemed like I was always busy cooking or dealing with ice for the kegs etc. We had about 30 people, 3 dogs and a chicken at the peak. Dang chicken has been wondering over here for the last week or so. Not sure who it belongs to, but good thing for him, he didnt end up on the grill.
Campers, Motor homes and tents occupied the yard as well as a "used beer depository"
Its nice to have that behind me and now, maybe I can think about boats! I have NOT been on the water this year (besides a canoe) nor have I even unwinterized my outboard. Right now I have nothing water worthy anyways. I planned on doing some work this week while I am off but its been so hot and I have been burnt out from the non stop work of getting ready for the part. I did pay a vist to the folks at Express Composites on Tuesday and picked up some materials. Those guys sure know their stuff!
