AARP Online Drive Safety Program

For those of us who are older, a course every 3 years on defensive driving is necessary to get a 10% discount on car insurance. Today I just finished the AARP Online Drive Safety Program at a cost of $19.95 and seven hours of time sitting at home facing the computer, reading the materials, and answering the quiz questions. The course was very informative and practical and covered alot of material not covered in the typical classroom situation. I highly recommend it to those who like on line courses. You do not have to be a member of AARP to take the course.

I'm due for a refresher, but it really is BS. I enjoy debating the instructor. I really don't want to be on the road with these people.

Are you serious...7 hours? All at one sitting? Can you imagine how long it would take for me on dial up? Weeks?

I would do it if I could get 10% off my insurance.  I make sure to tell all my eligible clients about it. 10% off your auto ins for 3 years can add up to a nice savings.

We have DSL internet by CenturyLink, which has reasonable speed. Still, I could read each page of materials faster than the "Next" button would appear to open up a new page. I took short breaks, but started it at 3 PM and finished at 10 PM.
