Making plans for a twin cities trip
« on: January 24, 2019, 12:46:45 PM »
Amber, I, and the boys are planing a trip to the TCs February 28th through March 3rd. Hopefully the weather will be good for that weekend.

We should arrive early to mid-afternoon on the 28th and be around to see everyone on the 1st and 2nd, then head home early on the 3rd so the boys can get some rest for school on Monday.

Anyone have any ideas on where we could have a get together where our boys can meet all of you but still have some fun?

Look forward to seeing everyone!

That's great news!
I was just talking to Jeff, Shawn, & Steve Ackerman about a club breakfast in February.
I will start a thread for Saturday morning 3/2.
What side of the Twin Cities will be your home base?

Jim, thanks for getting a thread started. I just started looking at hotels today. I will get one nailed down in a week hopefully and will post what area we will be in.

There are 3 different hotels with water parks in them in the cities. The big one by the mall of America is supposed to be pretty nice now that they remodeled.

I think this has become an addiction.

Great news! We should be able to make 3/2 work as well. We might be able to do a water park or MOA rides work as well but they get pretty busy on the weekends too.

I’d probably recommend staying at a place on the south side of town around MOA or airport. Lot of options at least!

Would be nice to find a place we can have a room at for breakfast. Just works better with kids. Nothing pops to mind though.

@Tonka Jim , as of right now it looks like we will be staying in Eagen. We are willing to drive so pick a spot that is central for everyone.
