Oh dear... my title says 74.  I will post more photos tonight.

Also... on the search for globe covers... stumbled across this site:

...the quest continues. :)

I have seen more than once when the title/registration card was wrong. But the boats don't always match the brochures either. Left over gel coat or parts??? Who knows.

Yup, odd things happen with remaining inventory.  As this:

A 1972 hull, with a 1973 gel color and interior.  (Hence my 1972 1/2 model, registered as a 1972 though.)  Looks like a 1972 dash as well.

Photo taken today and in the water for the first time this year as well, running strong.

OK... my HID# is GCVO1172M74A.  Or maybe that 'O' is actually a 'C'... I am not sure... so could be GCVC1172M74A.

I've included a pic of the light and dash.

Looks like a 1974 hull and a 1973 interior.  We will have to wait till the "experts" :) (Jason and Gregg) pipe in.

For a little more investigating, if you are able to crawl on the floor and look behind the dash where the passenger normally sits.  On the face board back there under resin there is possibly a build date.  This is a cramped little hole of a place to get your body into.  I'm betting it was built in Jan or Feb of 1974 and they just carried the nice blue interior over to this 1974 model.

Here is mine, and what you are looking for.  the other numbers will probably match your hull numbers.

Yup, put it in the water.  Anybody can have a new one, you've got something special.

My hull ID starts with " GCVO " it's a 1976 CV16 outboard in blue.
Your flake looks very nice and vinyl trim looks good also.
Keep pictures coming !

Very interesting. It's definitely a 74 with that dash. I bet it's one of the first that year and used up some left over 73 parts like the anchor light and blue gel coat. Looks very nice!

I have one or two Jetson lights in my collection of parts. The original one on my 67 V163 is kinda purple. I acquired a couple and they seem more clear. I do beleive they do come on two different size poles. I replaced the ugly round one on my 71 V175 with a Jetson light. I'll have to see what I have left but I am sure its worth a ton of $$  :D
