Cabosil
« on: September 08, 2012, 01:44:01 PM »
Shawn, or Joe..do you have any extra?  If not I'll call tomas on monday and get some.  Also any one have mixing ratios or tips?  I haven't used the stuff in a while but it was a little tricky for me to get it to mix and get the consistency I was looking for.

Amy said "he just missed our cooler".  We actually just picked up a new 170 can cooler...that one could be used as a bench seat in the back of a boat.  Now that my dad's health is stable I hope we get a couple of nice weekends so I can get out on the river, picked up a new 21p prop today for 50 dollars at cabela's bargain cave.

sorry for the delay...
how much do you need ?
I think i mixed it about 4 to 1 by volume (cab to resin) about like peanut butter anyway.
gotta take yer time mixing it in, add catalyst after mixing caosil in, at least that's what i did.

Shawn/joe, I ordered a gallon...I should know soon if that'll be enough thanks guys.  I'm working on the CV, the crack in the hull isn't as devastating as it initially appeared.  As for the bayflite, well it needs a LOT of work, we'll see how the CV goes first.

I have used probably about 3 gallons so far. I would guess you will need more. Just let me know I will prob be working on the boat this weekend and should be all finished up with the Cabosil. Unless someone says they want to go boating.
I think this has become an addiction.

I WANT TO GO BOATING!

ME TOO!  Our lake levels are starting to get too low for us to boat safely on some of them.

Jason...
i was gonna post that too, but feared mock and ridicule for whining.
i have 4 boats... 2 glastron projects, a cobalt trihull lacking a lower unit and a searay that needs a shifter cable, (last 2 are donors)
all these boats and i still cant get on the water  >:(
well better times are coming, the GT-150 WILL be in the water, this year if the weather is like it was last year  ;D

Same here! all my local lakes are inaccessible due to low water level. Also, I wish I did not have to tear into the Phoenix again. :'(

Ah, you have all winter to put Goldie back to the way she was. Take your time but just don't forget how she came apart. ;D
