2014 Glastron GTX160
« on: February 23, 2014, 08:14:41 AM »
I was looking around the Glastron web site this morning and saw they have a new line of budget models.
Only option is a Merc or Evinrude 60 HP motor, you can get radio, tops, side window and a few other thing, but it comes to under $15,000 ( $14,767.00 with the Evinrude, little cheaper with the Merc. )
The GT160 model with a 115 HP Evinrude comes to $20,753.00.

Not bad for a new boat, motor and trailer ...

Pretty sure VEC stayed with Genmar.
Glastron are built in Cadillac Mich. at the Four Winn's factory or some part of that plant/factory.

According to this forum topic, VEC was also licensed to Four Winns.

If I remember correctly, my 91 Glastron had a VEC label on it … that memory might be foggy, though.

My father in law's Larson has the Delta-Conic hull, and it rides smooth, but I hate the handling of it. Handles like a pig compared to a CVX...
