My CV's transom was OK, except for the speedo pilot tube wasn't sealed, water got in and rotted wood.
Looks like the same thing happened to your motor mount holes.
Another sore spot on G/C is the drainage of hull, drain hole were 2 to 3 inches above bottom of hull.
Water pooled even if tipped all the way up, splashed up on rear floor wood and rotted wood floor.
I was on a budget so fancy materials were out of the question, plus didn't want $10000 into a boat only worth $3000.
I saw floor was bad when I got boat but the rotted corner of transom was a surprise and I was pressed for time and money.
Money had to go for other things, trailer, steering, etc. etc.
I would love to find a perfect 1973 apricot CV16 and rebuild with composite, but would have to win the Loto first ... LOL
With the help of some members ( Jeff, Ross, Jim ) it was done (new transom & rear floor) in one day and is done way better then G/C's did it ...
