I could be wrong but I can't remember anyone ever finding a source for those funky rubber gromments. If it was me I'd take a trip to my local hardware store and see if I could find something that I could make work.  I think those rubber gromments are to keep the screws from cracking the windshield so just a simple rubber or plastic washer would work.

If you want to get fancy you could thru bolt them and and use a nice chrome/ss button head allen bolt and a nylock nut. That would look better than factory and then you wouldn't have to worry about the screws loosening up.

Screws and nylock nuts would be the way to go.
not sure they make them in stainless but the hardware that is used to mount pro audio gear in racks may be an option.
the nicer ones have hard rubber washers and screws with over sized heads, 10-32 is the most common size.

If I member right the ones off the C500 were like regular grommets minus the lip on one side. Side with the lip went under the screw. And there was a thin strip of foam tape tween the w/s & hull.

Mine was screwed down, not through-bolted.

Those black plastic caps would look really good too, maybe better than the fancy hardware, and be a lot cheaper. I drilled out many rivets on my CVX16 and replaced with chromed hardware and let me tell that stuff isn't cheap.

I have used stainless screws with locking nuts. a good substitute for the grommets are the black rubber faucet seals. They are tapered on one side & fit good in the windshield holes.

Thanks to everyone for responding about my cvx 16 windshield hardware dilemma. I know I found a kit on the internet that included the drill to drill the windshield as well as the screws and rubber grommets but I'll be damned If I can find it again. Guess I should have jumped on them then. If anyone should see what I described please let me know, otherwise I will follow your advice. :)
Regards
Max

I have found those rubber grommets at manards.. Go to the isle that has all the screws in it and look for the display that has all the small drawers and you can find them. Couple diff. sizes even. Next time I'm there I'll take a pic so you can see where.

Found them again.. There in the electric dep. at manards close to the zip ties and wire nuts. It's what I've used on a couple of my projects. Drill a 3/8"hole in the plexi, put the 1/4" grommets in, then use a 1/4" ss screw-bolt with a nylon nut and just snug them, not to tight so they can flex. Work great!
