I do think you guys should put on a meet.  If it works, I'd drive over.

Right now I am looking at options. IMO I think the Mo. River would be the best bet. With the reopening of Cotton wood North of Blair, It gives us a good option. I want to make a trip there some time in July just to see the place and to get the feel of it. I plan on contacting them this fall and winter to see if they are interested in hosting our group.

Not to Highjak But I would be interested in getting a group together and going to Lake Of The Ozarks for a extended boating weekend.  Took us about 11 hrs from Minneapolis to get there.
I think this has become an addiction.

That could be fun!  The smaller boats would get really beat up down by Osage Beach, but up the channel more could be a lot of fun!

I always thought that would be a great place for a national meet.

I'd be down with that.  LOTO is near my hometown.  We'd need to stay out of the main channel.  The big cruisers push wakes bigger than our boats.  :o  If you can make it to Party Cove....oh my!

I could stop by cottonwood this weekend or call up there.  Knew it well before flooding in 2011, not since.  Used to be a good food/drink spot on the river with courtesy docks.  Could take the boat from Omaha.  As for a larger national meet, the Ozarks would be nice.

That would be great Mike. Also, you might stop by surfside. Just found out they now have some slips.

Is the party cove cove close to Sunrise Beach and Captain Rons?

I agree that lake of the Ozarks would make a fine national, or at least Midwest CGOA meet.  Party cove may not be appropriate for children, and some adults, woo hoo.  Nebraska meet would likely be a Missouri river meet.  Things are starting to get back to normal after 2011 flood.  Otherwise, we really do not have much for lakes that allow wakes.
