Ross, thanks for asking... no, I don't have that figured out yet.  I was going to reserve a car when I booked my flight, but was floored at the cost (taxes/fees/etc.)... it's more than the airline ticket, so I held off on doing that immediately.  I need to look at all my options.  Maybe an AVIS in town vs at the airport would avoid some of the fees... not sure?  I know I can save a little reserving a car through my insurance company, USAA, but need to check into that to.  Any recommendations?

The good nature of the human spirit never ceasese to amaze me, especially in this Glastron family!!!

The gentleman I sold my GT-150 to years ago (I still owned it in the picture below), lives about 1.5hrs away from the meet.  Good friend, we keep in touch, and I was trying to see if he could attend the meet, atleast visit with him since I'll be "in town" and so close.

It sounds like he can't make the meet >:(  , but offered for me to use his pick-up and bring his glastron (what we call 007) to the meet!!!    :o     Are you kidding me!... I'm speechless.

Looks like I may not need a rental car or a ride after all, maybe a boat wet slip instead.

Mark, Glad to see you can make it to the meet.  Can't wait to see the GT-150.  Great friend you have got there! You asked about the Nichols Inn.  Never stayed there but I remember driving past the place at last year's meet.  From the outside it looked like a good motel.  Looked like it was just built recently.  It's only 1/4 mile from the AmericInn.

I'd love to attend with my family and '73 V-174 Bayflite but I'm having difficulty locating it's title and there has been some confusion by the licensing center thinking I never transferred ownership back in '07. If I can't be there with a valid license I'll be there in spirit!

You should be able to get a duplicate title in less than 10 days if you go to the DMV tomorrow. We would really like to have you join us!  It's not a place that I would recommend trying to bend the law.  There are lots of water patrol officers in that area ensuring all of our safety.

Good luck, and we hope that you can get all the paperwork you need in time!

It may not be titled. Boats are not required to be titiled. You may only have a registration card from the DNR. Try calling them. They print the cards threre.

MN DNR: (651) 296-6157

I think that what he is saying is that the registration is out of date, and he dosn't know how to get it registered.  Now that I think about it, I thing you can simply go to the DMV witht eh old registration # and tell them that you want to update the registration and pay the fee.

Either way, it should be fine to get it done in time.

I believe at least in MN, if your registration expires, you may be assigned a new number? Maybe thats sleds or something else. Pretty sure its boats. Then you'd have to scrape them off and replace them.

OK a little off topic but I noticed the addition of another boat to Brians screen info. Did you buy your old boat back again???

No...  That's just the old one that I used to own.  Never took it off after the last time I bought it back.

Yes, I have all of that info...

I have 20 tents, 3 RV's, 7 hotel Rooms, 102 people, 38 boats.

Just for some perspective, last year we had 64 registrations prior to the event, and 98 people came to the event.  Roughly a 35% increase of the people that came without reservations.  At that same rate, we might expect over 135 people.

Wow ... it is going to be standing room only on the dock this year! Wonder if there is going to be enough parking? It could be a little crazy this year. ... Looking forward to it!!!  ;D

I will be talking with Bob at the campground regarding parking spaces.  I know that we can park boats and trailers in the area by the main entrance road.

He told me that two weekends ago they had the Mississippi Regge festival.  They had 3000 people in the campground.  This was 700 people more than the previous highest attendance.
