OK guys here is this finished product. Again these are sold as a pair. (two screws) for the $40 plus shipping. I will need your address to determine the shipping cost. Some of you have already given me your address. Now I just need to know how you will be paying.

These will be sent USPS mail.

Payment:    Paypal, or Money Order.

Please PM if interested, Include in your PM:  Address and # of sets you would like to purchase, Payment method (If you are paying with PayPal include your email that is linked to your account, and I will send you an invoice.) Please feel free to call me a 717-419-2553 if you would prefer.

I only have 20 sets as of now. So get them while you can. I am not sure when or if I will be making another batch.

Just some things I want to point out: These do NOT have the slot on the tops. They are not made from factory print. They are made from a Original sample part. They have some minor differences, that being the reason I am only selling as a pair. Extra cost to have slot put on top.( Not determined yet) They screw into Original receiver mounts on the boat. These should work on the following model Carlsons. CVX-16, CVX-18, CVX-20, Intimidator. If you know these will fit other please let me know.

Pictures below, The one that is screwed into the receiver is the new product!

Recieved the screws last week!  Thanks!  They look great!  I need to get the clips though.  The new screws don't work in my old clips...

Any ideas?

Hmm. That surprises me that they don't work. Steve gave me one of his for when we ran them. I made sure they all went on to that clip. Maybe it's just tight? I have no problem refunding you if you want.  But you will have to ship them back. I hope we can make them work though.

Mine both work so I'm not sure what the issue is that Brian is having unless the orginal recievers were changed out. I've got BOM's w/part numbers for all the 1979 Carlsons and per that they used the same latching system on the CVX16, 18, 20, etc. One thing I've learned about the company since owning 2 Carlsons is that they used a lot of the same parts on different models/years.

Try screwing it in without going though the hood first. It may just be a little tight. On my boat one side is snug and the other is pretty loose using the same screw. You may just need to adjust the prongs on the reciever with a small flat screwdrive if you can't get the screw started.

Yeah I agree try and adjust your "fingers" on your receiver and see what that does.

Brian - I'm also curious to know what the verdict ended up being. Sure hate to see people buy these only to find out they don't work and then poor Craig is stuck with all the mucking around that goes with returns.

Please let us know what you found out - Thanks Kip

Glad to hear that guys! Thanks for the compliments, it was fun to do. Would love to see pictures posted when you have a chance. Still have a few sets to sell if anyone else is interested. Everyone that i talked to before i machined them kept their word and purchased them from me. I am vary thankful for that! Not sure that i will be making another batch, so if you haven't got a set yet. Get them now while you can.
