Thanks fellas, I learned that if your gut tells you it's a "buy", you should go for it- the boat sold (not sure to whom, but don't think it was local). Now I'm really down in the dumps. Oh well, back to the drawing board......er, classifieds.

See this one? Could get this MINT CVX16 for the same price as a floor/transom job.

That Detroit Lakes one is nice! (But is it odd that I'm not drawn to the finished ones- only to the junker projects?!)
Hotwired- if you see this, what motor have you got on that V-153?

Hi,
I uploaded the pictures of my 1971 V156 floor replacement to Photobucket. Here is a link to the site: http://s948.photobucket.com/albums/ad325/71V156/1971%20Glastron%20V156%20Floor%20Replacement/

The pictures show the different stages that I went through replacing the floor. I hope they are more entertaining then the actual work. I plan on bringing the boat to Red Wing for this summers meet.  Bill

Well some day I'll need a tank Jerry but this motor would need a total rebuild. I took it more for sentimental reasons. The motor did get me to go for the boat however.
Off to cut the grass before it rains again.

I got a nice fresh 125hp powerhead that would go on that motor.

Just sayin'

Jerry
That would be great but dont you think 125 on that boat would be a bit much? Also I need to finish the 175 first...then do some stuff/have it done to the 163, and I need a better tow vehielc and house stuff and...you get the idea.

Tanks looks awsome btw. looks exactly like the kind we had with our 50
