Start furnishing the man cave ...
« on: January 17, 2013, 01:57:48 PM »
I think this is freakin' awesome ... might be worth a try ... anybody have a good hull with everything else trashed?  I can build it.  I kinda want to build it.

No question.

I imagine a free junk boat hull ...

Maybe $1200 or so for a slab of 1-1/4" granite (I know tables are usually slate, but I can't see how the unpolished side of a granite slab wouldn't hold the felt equally well and provide a nice, flat, hard surface ...

I'd bet you can have a professional table resurfaced for a couple hundred ...

You can probably get into it for $2,000 for all the raw goods - then you'd have your labor to make it work.  That's just my guess.

Once I get moved to the TC's area, I'll take you up on a free hull.  Right now - I have no where to put it & don't need to start a project that I'd have to move that direction before it's finished.

It's been there for years, and I have no intension of doing anything with it. It is a cool boat though.
