Hey all!
I'm excited I stumbled across this forum!
Last fall, my wife and I purchased a cabin on the Whitefish chain near Crosslake, MN. The cabin has been sitting empty for 12+ years and cabin came as-is. With the cabin came a 1974 Glaston v-174 Bayflite (I'm pretty sure). Again, the boat has been sitting for the last 12+ years in the woods. Much of the time, it was shrink-wrapped and was dealer-maintained before it was wrapped. As you can imagine, the shrink wrap has worn over the years resulting in a big hole. As soon as the snow melts (hopefully soon), I'll see what I'm dealing with and can only speculate at this time. I'm excited to see what's there.
I enjoy building/repairing and not afraid to get my hands dirty. I'll start another thread with the unveiling in the next month or so (depending on snow melt). I look forward to sharing this experience with others as well as learning from the experienced Glastron owners on this forum!

Welcome!
A leap of faith on the purchase, no doubt about it! Good for you.
You should probably work on the boat first and get it running, the cabin can wait. :)

1974 V-174
Should be a serial number on the right side of stern of boats built after 1973.

Thanks for the welcome and info! Was at cabin over weekend and BayFlite is still frozen! However, here are a few pics.
