Free to a good home
« on: April 29, 2012, 09:06:59 PM »
Found this while moving MY crap out of my two extra bedrooms to make way for my girlfriend's two boys (6 1/2 & 10) to move in during June. We're getting hitched and have to move some stuff around. My computer / bicycle room will be the younger ones room. All my bikes and gear are not in a revamped store room under my carport. Hooked to door to the alarm system so they're protected. I'll be connecting my PC to my 42" TV in my bedroom. Will be great for looking at MCG and all the pics that are posted. YouTube videos should be fun, too.

Gonna be tough to go from a 3 br house all to myself to 4 of us here. My dogs will have someone to play with besides me.

Anyhow, came across this booklet and it's free to whoever may want it if it matches their motor of just to have.

Let me know and it's first come first served.

Marc

I've never heard of a Mercruiser 215. What is it?

My dad had a Starcraft cuddy cabin boat when I was about two (1972). I have a pic of it somewhere. The brochure has a date of 11/69 on it.

This is the info on the specifications.

215 HP, 302 CID Ford, 9.0:1 compression.

I'll see if I can locate the photo this week and post it.

Interesting.
I didn't know Mercury used a 302 as far back as 1972. I think Volvo was using them back then.

That is interesting as the 302 didn't even exist until 1968.

Shouldn't be too bad, on them that is. New set of rules. I keep the boys quite often and they all spend about 4 nights a month here. Just need to get them in the swing of things and that they need to pitch in with house duties and not just sit and play games or watch TV. The older one likes to mow with the rider. That helps speed up yard work.

My main issue is dealing with all her crap. Who needs 30 rolls of Christmas wrapping paper? :o We've already gone through and thinned the herd in the kids closets.

LOL! She does! After 8.5 wonderful years with my beautiful wife and our 5 kids we finally broke down and are paying a friend of hers who happens to be a professional organizer to help with all of our crap!

It's quite the process and we're far, far, FAR from done, but the house is slowly starting to come together. And the organizer says we're not all that bad!

Good luck my friend! We did the blending households thing (stepkids were 4 and 7 when I moved in) and we decided to move as most of my stuff never made it out of the shed at the old place!

Well. Got the computer desk out of the house today. I built it from oak cabinets and oak plywood (3/4) and I was afraid I'd have to dismantle it to get it out. I built it in the room and it just made the turn out of the door frame and into the hall by 2". Put it in the workshop and as soon as I get my wifi going I'll put my old computer in the shop (man cave) and my good system will be going in my bedroom hooked to the tv and surround sound system. YouTube videos will be fun to watch.

I've always been pretty neat and can't stand clutter. I've got stuff here and there throughout the house and I'm ready to find a dumpster.

Thanks for the well wishes.

Again, if anyone is interested in this booklet just let me know and I'll mail it to you.
