Last minute camping on st croix
« on: September 07, 2014, 02:37:56 PM »
As the weather is beautiful and the days are numbered I am taking tomorrow off and we are going camping on the river.
Plan is to launch at beanies and camp on one of the islands in Hudson. Anyone else available and willing is welcome to join us. We will have our dogs with, and plan to do a midnight cruise south of Hudson.

OK, where did you find you can leave your safari truck overnight. I have been wanting to do that also in the CV23 but I know I can't leave the truck in the hudson city ramp lot.

After roughing it living on a sand island and night boat cruises, the adjustment back to living in a house with all the conveniences and going to work may be a shock.

Yes it was a shock
And we did manage to get back to the launch with our boat full of camping gear.
Wes windy, 2' swells :(
I would hate to travel very far in that.

well i do need a bigger boat...
hopefully the 1900 will be floating next spring, though i have not put too much time into it just yet.
and of course there will be pulling of docks/boats and winterizing going on soon too.
