1963 Sportsman Remanufacture
« on: August 16, 2019, 09:48:39 AM »
Finally got around to working on the 63 Sportsman again. Floor out, took 2 stringers out. Were wet even though sat covered for last 2+ years and not in water for last 3! two of three stringers came out intact with soft rot on rear. I opted to cut out splashwell. Transom was rotted and came out as 1/2 piece but good enough to have a template for all wood!

Is there any reason transom couldn't/shouldn't be extended side to side vs the center four feet only?

Thanks
pat

Sorry, the forum is going to be pretty quite for the next few days. Everyone is at the glaston classic at red wing, mn. If you want you could email me the pictures and i could post them.  Or if you look below the box you type in to respond to a post you will find a + with attachments and other options. click the plus and then you can add up to 4 pictures per post depending on size.

hope this helps.

thanks for the response. I'll try uploading again. I seem to be having errors with the attachment of pic files (jpegs).
