« on: May 29, 2013, 02:46:21 PM »
Anybody else have a boat with no name ?
after reading about it i guess i should have done this before it got wet... but anyways i have cool vinyl graphic i'm really excited about applying and would like to do it while down there with you folks.
you did several at red wing last year, correct.

We did ...
Okie Dokie, Phoenix Rising, Wet Raider, Agent Orange, Green with Envy ...
Barb was our cermonial master!

You can use the boat without the naming ceremony, just don't apply the name until it's done.

I've never officially named mine either...and I'm kind of over 'Goldie'.

Need something to describe the convertible cover.  "Vertie" or something.

I'm guessing we have to wait to find out the name Joe?

That's a clever one, Joe !

Is that a play on "seduced", or "sea doo"  ?

Laurie came up with it, i guess it's a play on seduced, and sea as in water and deuce as in me, explaining the spelling.

I would like to plan on officially naming the GT on Friday morning and would be honored to have you folks join in this ceremony.
And after watching the video from red wing, I have it in my head that Barb is "closer to Neptune" and therefore if its not too much to ask, I'm wondering if she would be willing to help with this important ceremony.

Joe, I would not mind doing that at all. I am pulling out from the house in about 15 minutes to head north.  We are driving as far as Emporia Kansas tonight just to break up the almost 9 hour trip.  I'm not going to have time to print off the renaming ceremony, so if you could do that and bring it with you along with lots if bubbly!

Red is driving a ways today also.  Not sure where he will stay tonight.

Barb, Kat, Red, Georgia .... all be safe in your travels.  We're ready for you.  Water was smooth as glass last night ... too bad I was waiting for my new drain tube to dry & couldn't get in ...

Some how our boat was called "The Big Boompa Boat" for a while.  Now we just call it "The Old Boat".  Maybe we need to get a name.
I'll try to add a picture of it after I pulled it out of the woods this spring.
