Not definite yet, but I'm still leaning toward the Bayflite. The "elbow room" issue will be over by the time it's done, one grand daughter graduating this year and the other graduates next year. I think my own personal tastes run more along the closed bow lines, and that hull is in much better shape. Just a few blisters to deal with, where the SSV hull looks like a teenager who doesn't wash their face! (I think both boats were left in the water during the season down here, just a hunch.)
The SSV is on C/L just to see what happens, but it can reside (covered up) in the back yard for now. I hope to get the Bayflite moved to the better trailer and into the garage today, we'll see how it goes. I kind of over did the physical exertion yesterday, and paid the price last night. Gotta take it slow and easy, I'm in this for the long run!
Decisions, decisions...just don't over do yourself, I'm just 20 minutes form you, and if u need help at some point, let me know.
Now I like the close bows also, gives the boat more of a performance look, just IMO..
but for fishing, the close bow will not be the best choice, but doable, as you you... heck I haven't fished in so long, I think I for got how to do it...Lol
The main thing is you going to do it right, with which ever boat you choose:)
