All there contracts have a big timeline. I would guess it will be started first thing in the spring and done within a month or so. Fingers Crossed.
I think this has become an addiction.

$5 Million to move an island. Wonder were the material will be moved too. I know Grey Cloud island has a big sand pit there.

Maybe it was just water cooler conversation, but I thought the rumor was TI was going to make a break wall for their marina by extending the beach alongside the south dock out to about the fuel dock area.   Have some beach on both sides.   At least that sounds like an exciting move, at 5 mil, maybe consider opening a channel straight through?

I never under stood why they paid to barge the sand in the middle of the river so that they could pay to barge it again to get it out of the river. On the other hand it is the Government. Is that what you call Job security.

As far as sand to TI I haven't heard any more about it.
I think this has become an addiction.

Took a break and made this picture, I know its just a dream, but wouldn't it be nice to have the space for day trippers, beach along the primitive camping area.    Cut back on wake issues with marina boats.   Increase area for multi-use(weddings).    The sand has to be moved, its round so its not desirable for construction.   If I owned a home along that side, who wouldn't want beach area?   Obviously a whole bunch of regulations, real estate issues, etc   But with all that aside, wouldn't it be soooo coooolll!
