Title: Early Christmas for the CVX 16 SS
Post by: demian5 on December 03, 2019, 10:39:40 AM
I was able to procure a nice, clean, and complete windshield, pillars and good seal for the boat from a guy parting a boat in Indiana.

Along with it came the dash panel and all gauges and the original owners manual. I previously got all of the badges and vents and the mirror from this boat as well.

Lets see how well the holes line up.

Going to be difficult to get the cover off with it mounted like that isn't it?   Just kidding, great score.  Hopefully the holes line up.  For some odd reason I'd drill the body before the windshield.   Unused holes are easier to conceal in the body that in the windshield.

I'd drill the body before the windshield.

That's the plan. Determine which will work (the windshield post bottom holes as the must use ones) and marine silicone the others up.

Would have been holes in side posts when casted .. but wonder if windshield was drilled from mfg. (Tayler made) or drilled at G/C ?

Yes I will line up the side post holes in the hull and see where the rest lie. I would be surprised if they were drilled consistently across all boats from the factory.
