A sure sign its fall.
« on: October 23, 2013, 08:55:58 AM »
Yesterday, Red and I drove the 100 miles south to Lake of the Arbuckles to put Hot Knots in winter pickles.  We took her to the lake first for a little ride then back under the cover for a drain and fill with antifreeze, and then covered with a cover, with a cover, with a cover.  Red had his teeth with him.. LOL

Did you add the latch to hold the cover's down? Where is the lever to open the latch?

Everything on the engine covers/sun pads was on it when I bought it.  There are 2 pull handles on the front of the back seat that pull those cables and release the pads.  Then each pad has a cylinder that gently glides it up ad holds it in place.  Its a pretty nice set up really, except to get in and work on the engine they have to be disconnected and the pads raised on up.  But for just getting under there to get into the storage or the battery and pump its great.

I drained and filled mine Sunday and cleaned the carpets because the last time I took it out the dock was covered in bird crap and some got tracked into the boat. Left the cover off so it could all dry out good and it got rained on so it's still wet now...

I'm lucky to have that cover to put the boats under in the summer.  Burnin Daylight goes to my acreage where I have a 30'x30' enclosed building with concrete floor and garage doors on it.  Poor Hot Knots spends her time under the cover at the lake year round.  We put the blue tarp over her custom made cover to keep all the dust from the dirt road collecting on top of it.  Didn't do that last winter and that maroon cover was a pain to clean, had to scrub it to get the dust off, took a couple of hours to get it back to looking new again.

You think I'm joking? Just look at what happened to my pet Cuban Brown Snail: He turned white!?

edit. 'Sides his change in color he appears to be okay. Clocked him @ 30" per minute just now. And that's not too far off his best. So's I'm thinkin he'll be allright ...?
