It was a good weekend in all, great to see everyone that came, sorry to have missed those who could not attend. Thursday and Friday were fantastic boating days; Saturday was windy and reserved to coves. Friday lunch at the resort was a big hit in my book, beautiful weather, great food and kind people. We tried the 16SS out on the open "sea" on Saturday, but when waves came crashing over the bow, it was time to head into the cove by the resort. The Z has some items to work out, Saturday during the wind, we were able to keep it on the trailer and get her running and idling nicely, but when we began to set the shift linkage, the drive grumbled like a diesel engine running. We believe the engine alignment is at fault, but will investigate this week. We thankfully avoided storms, but did get enough rain on Sunday morning to get all the gear wet, forcing a re-set up of the tent at home to dry out. My thanks to Dan and family for providing a fantastic meal Saturday afternoon, the brisket was excellent. We all tried our best to hold down everything in the wind, could have used some extra arms in those conditions. My apologies to Joe, I was scooping some baked beans and the wind gave him a shower from the spoon drippings. Thanks again to everyone for providing the photos, I was not able to take as many as I would have liked, busy just trying to keep two boats running.
