Club and or boat flags
« on: September 13, 2010, 03:39:51 PM »
I heard mention a few times at the meet a request for a Glastron or club flag.  I have started looking for a manufacturer to make some.  What would you people like to have on it?  CGOAMN?  Glastron?  Glastron Carlson? Team Glastron? Team CGOA?  CGOA? ..... ???

I like the Glastron 'G' the best
with CGOAMN.COM under it.

No Carlson in my collection, yet!

You all know I love the G!  (No Carlson in my fleet of one either, yet.)  Maybe one with and one without?  There was a lady called Flagchic who did some for some of the guys over on FG, you might get in touch with her Chris.
flagchick@shaw.ca or theflagchick@hotmail.com
I'd be up for one too, would be proud to fly the CGOAMN colors here.

Like Gregg said;
Mark's GLASTRON inside the blue & red 'G' and
       CGOAMN.COM centered under it

You will have better luck getting Mrs GT150 to 'GO FAST' than I will getting
Mrs Tonka to approve another boat.    :P

Chris, great initiative... thanks!  I will for sure buy one no matter what you make up.

my 2 cents...

if only one design... I like the Glastron G with Glastron in it like MarkSs, MN web site address would be just fine under it.

if we can order multiple designs, maybe make another geared towards the Carlson's, like the bottom graphic you put up.

Thanks again.

I was going to find someone to make one of these any way's so this is great that we can do it as a group buy. I vote for the Glastron "G" with GLASTRON in the middle or the last one you posted Chris with the Glastron "G" and GLASTRON CARLSON. I don't really care one way or another if the club name is on it. Maybe below, centered and in text at least half the size or smaller.

I am really surprised Cafepress does not have the option to create flags as they have everything else available!

Love the idea!  I would really like to see the website represented somehow.  It doesn't have to be the primary focus, but present would be inportant to me.

I have a friend working on the flag as soon as it arrives.  He is going to try to reproduce in as the red with white Script Glastron Logo on it.  He is using an embroidered logo on it so it will be one sided. Depending on how it turns out we can make the background most any color the fabric comes in.

Chris, just an option for you....

here are a few pictures of a flag that Pamela did for me a few years back for my Arkansas Traveler, i.e. "Flagchick" that MarkS mentioned, her email address is theflagchick@hotmail.com, she advertises on eBay.

The quality is fantastic.  She embroidered both sides (reversed), very professionally done, double sided flags with Tyvec, which is a light blocker so the opposite side won't show through, with a sewn border.   This flag she did for me was very custom... I scanned in pictures of an old boat brochure showing the Arkansas Traveler logo, custom picked the colors for my boat application, and she also reduced the size to fit my flag pole (10" x 15"), as opposed to the advertised 12" x 18", as many of the older boat flags were smaller in size than newer ones.  For some applications, you can also let her know if it needs to be raked, (if the pole rides on a 30 degree (r so)angle then the flag should probably be raked).  Anyways, bottom line is that she makes a lot of these and can custom make it to whatever your specifications are.  I paid $45.  Also, she was able to make it and send in just a few weeks.  May be worth checking into/just an option.  The "double sided" option is nice.

BTW... I like the original Red w/White script Glastron name.

Thanks Chris!

Mark
