He took $750 for it.  Engine fired right up. Runs strong.
The guys that did my other boats are Wet Sanding it as we speak.  The metal flake is slightly rough to the touch.

I saw that add and figured it was a typo or the pictures weren't for the boat he was selling. You should be ashamed for offering $750!....LOL ;D

Holy Crap Andy!  ;D Now there is a Colorado river boat! The "museum" is filling up fast! Started looking for a CVX-20 sprint yet?? A CV-23?  Those are about the only 2 missing from your CVX collection! Maybe a CV-27???

The guy clearly did no know what he had. He needed the money. I called him before I left home for the 2 1/2 hour drive there to verify the asking price. He acknowledged that it was $900 but said if I got there right away he would take less. Funny thing is I thought it might be a typo. $9000.  Obviously too much but I think the boat is worth between $5000 and $7000 the way it sits.
I never even started it. Wanted to get on the road before he had a chance to change his mind. The next day I turned the key over and the thing fired right up. Sounds awesome.
The interior is all original. The clear coat is border line.  My fiberglass guy thinks that he can bring the luster back but there may be some residual yellowing left over.
It will never be as nice as Brian's or Scott's but for the price, if it runs, it will be a fun addition. As Chris said, the jet will work nicely on the Colorado River as we have lots of shallow spots.
Thanks for all the nice remarks.

Thats awesome! Those kinds of deals don't come around very often. You can't get the museum built fast enough.

Now you need to drive over to Alabama and get that CV16SSV8!

Nice, doesn't look like a single thing has been cut or screwed into that boat ever! 8) Put a diverter on it, that should add to the fun. ;)

Good grief.  That's an even better deal than the CVX18 on CGOA the fella bought at auction.

Absolutely fabulous!  Congrats Andy.
